2017 Orphan Fund

We are currently sponsoring 10 orphans under the supervision of CHINAR KASHMIR’S remote sponsorship programme, this costs us about £300 per year per child. We provide for their aid for all needs including clothing, education etc.

We have liaised with Shafaqat Medical Centre at Bemina Srinagar and provided aid of £5000 for the rehabilitation of less-able children and adults.

2017-2018

We have provided aid for the treatment of a number of cancer patients who needed treatment outside the valley, in Delhi and Bangalore which included patients who need bone marrow transplant, expensive anticancer drugs and other treatments.

We supported a number of single mothers (widows) with financial support.

We have provided aid for a number of poor students who needed help with their higher education.

2014

BKCF helped flood affected victims of Kashmir in 2014, by providing initially immediate aid to 40 families in the form of 150 blankets, food packs, clothing and other necessary needs including kitchen utensils.

Later we provided financial aid of about £14000 to a number of families to rebuild their homes.

We provided funds to CHINAR Kashmir charity.

Current and Future Aims

We will continue our help to CHINAR Kashmir for their remote sponsorship of orphans programme. It costs us £300 per child per year.

We will continue to aid help poor cancer patients and provide them assistance in buying expensive life saving or life prolonging anticancer drugs , bone marrow transplants, dialysis or any other similar treatments.

We are in touch with the Cancer society of Kashmir, SKIMS Srinagar and Hakim Sunauallh cancer hospital in Sopore in identifying such patients who will be in need of such assistance.

We will continue to help poor students who are need of finances to complete their education.

Collaboratory Project

We are currently collaborating with KASHMIR a charity from US and aiding in fund raising for emergency Kashmir Ambulance project in down town Srinagar Kashmir.

Our Ambitions and Future Aims

In collaboration with Hakim Sunallah Cancer Hospital Sopore

  1. We plan to establish a Dialysis center in district Baramulla where no such facility exists and people not able to afford such life saving treatment will be provided this treatment free of cost
  2. Establishment of disability rehabilitation and palliative care center in district Baramulla where we plan to provide free care for physically disabled and those in need of palliatiive support where no such facility exists
  3. Establishment of a state of the art Intensive care unit in sopore,District Baramulla with local emergency ambulance care support.
